Marcia Tyler has a diverse range of work experience in various human resources roles. Marcia recently worked as the Senior Director of Human Resources at the National Urban League, where they managed HR processes and initiatives to promote employee engagement and a diverse work environment. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of People & Culture at The James Beard Foundation, where they handled employee-related matters and worked on talent acquisition and development. Marcia also has experience as the Head of Talent Acquisition at New York Road Runners, where they focused on incorporating diversity and inclusion principles into recruitment strategies. Marcia began their career as the Chief of Staff at the YWCA of the City of New York, where they worked closely with the CEO on internal and external priorities.
Marcia Tyler completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications at Adelphi University from 1986 to 1990. Marcia later pursued further education and attained a Masters of Arts (MA) and Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College/Columbia University from 1993 to 1995.
