Robert Binkley

Sr. Fermentation Scientist at Native Microbials, Inc.

Robert Binkley has extensive work experience in the field of fermentation, with a focus on scientific research and process engineering. Robert is currently working as a Senior Fermentation Scientist at Native Microbials, Inc. since March 2023. Prior to that, they were a Team Lead in Fermentation at Debut Biotech from June 2022 to February 2023. From October 2020 to June 2022, they served as the Principal Process Engineer at MycoWorks. Before that, they gained research experience as a Masters Student/Researcher at Purdue University from August 2017 to August 2019 and at KAIST from August 2015 to August 2017. Robert also worked at BASF as a Scientist 1 in Fermentation from July 2011 to August 2015. Robert Binkley obtained their first diploma in General Studies from Quartz Hill High School in 2006. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from UC Irvine, completing it in 2010. In 2015, they continued their education at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, where they attained a Master's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in 2017. Subsequently, they pursued another Master's degree, specializing in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, from Purdue University. Robert completed this degree in 2019.
