Ziena Jalil

Ziena Jalil serves as Commissioner at the Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake and holds multiple board positions, including Board Member at Education New Zealand and the Auckland Business Chamber's Asian Advisory Board. Currently the Chief of Staff at Te Pūkenga, Ziena has extensive experience in governance, evident from roles as a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, Global Women, and an Asia 21 Fellow at the Asia Society. Ziena is also a Trustee of the Asia New Zealand Foundation and previously served on the board of the Cancer Society Auckland Northland and as a Board Director at Manukau Institute of Technology. Ziena's educational background includes a Master's degree in Politics and International Relations from The University of Auckland and a sustainability-focused program at the University of Cambridge.
