Alexandra Conell is an experienced archaeologist currently working as a GS-0193-12 Archeologist at the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service since May 2022, where responsibilities include assessing the potential impact of NRCS practices on cultural resources and assisting field offices with conservation efforts. Prior to this, Alexandra held various roles at Mackinac State Historic Parks from 2013 to 2021, including Archeology Field Supervisor at Fort Michilimackinac, where oversight of excavation and visitor engagement was key. Academic experience includes serving as a Visiting Instructor at Alma College and contributions to numerous archaeological projects, such as field schools and geophysical surveys, demonstrating a strong commitment to both education and practical research in anthropology and archaeology. Alexandra holds a PhD and an MA in Anthropology from Michigan State University, complemented by a BA in Anthropology and Archaeology from Alma College.
