Seth D'Imperio

Principal Scientist, Fungal Physiology at Nature's Fynd

Seth D'Imperio has extensive work experience in the field of microbiology and microbial community analysis. Seth began their career as a Microbiological Technician at USDA-ARS from 1999 to 2003. Seth then worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Montana State University from 2007 to 2009, focusing on microbial community analysis and algal biofuels. Seth moved on to become a Senior Scientist at Novozymes from 2009 to 2017, where they led a team in developing microbial products for wastewater treatment and probiotic products for animal health and nutrition. Seth later joined Enviromin, Inc as a Senior Microbiologist from 2017 to 2023, specializing in molecular characterization of microbial communities in subsurface and mining-impacted environments, in vitro assessment of microbial activities, sample handling for regulated materials, and laboratory management. Currently, Seth works as a Principal Scientist in Fungal Physiology at Nature's Fynd, starting in 2022.

Seth D'Imperio pursued their education chronologically, starting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Seth attended the university from 1994 to 1998. Later on, they went on to pursue their passion for Microbiology and obtained a PhD from Montana State University-Bozeman. This degree was attained between 2003 and 2007. Seth'seducation history reflects a focus on biological sciences, specifically Biology and Microbiology.
