Jean-Michel Renders

Jean-Michel Renders is currently serving as a group lead and principal scientist at NAVER LABS Corp. He is also a co-founder of Readar, an innovative start-up specializing in Smart Cities & Real Estate applications. Previously, he held positions as a principal scientist at Naver Labs Europe, Xerox Research Centre Europe, and as a data mining consultant at Business & Decision. With a background in machine learning and deep learning, he has also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at York University and received his PhD in Machine Learning / Deep Learning from Université libre de Bruxelles. Education-wise, he holds a degree in Accounting and Finance, Management from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, and a Master of Engineering in Command & Control from Université libre de Bruxelles.
