Mahesh Binzer-Panchal

Mahesh Binzer-Panchal is a seasoned bioinformatician with extensive experience in genome assembly and analysis. Currently associated with the National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden since April 2016, and Uppsala University since April 2015, Mahesh specializes in guiding and supporting genome assembly projects, including quality control of NGS data, sequence processing, and assembly validation. Prior to this, Mahesh served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, where responsibilities included quality evaluation of genomic data and pipeline development. Mahesh holds a PhD in Automation and Evaluation of Nested Clade Phylogeographic Analysis from the University of Reading and a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from Imperial College London. Early experience includes roles in IT support, coaching, and customer service.
