Quality Measurement Lead at NC Department of Health and Human Services

Jess Kuhn, MPH, has a diverse work experience that spans various fields. Most recently, Jess has been working as a Quality Measurement Lead at the NC Department of Health and Human Services since December 2022. Prior to this role, Jess worked as a Quality Measurement Evaluator at the same department from August 2022 to December 2022.

Before joining the NC Department of Health and Human Services, Jess served as a Program Assistant at Buckle Up for Life - UNC Pediatric Trauma Program from August 2021 to August 2022.

In terms of education, Jess pursued a Master of Public Health degree at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health from August 2020 to May 2022. During their time at the school, Jess also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

In 2021, Jess worked as a Research Assistant at UNC Children's from June 2021 to December 2021.

Prior to their public health career, Jess gained valuable experience in the service industry. From January 2015 to July 2020, Jess worked at Chili's in various roles, including bartender, server, and host.

In addition, Jess worked as a Biology Tutor at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in August 2018, providing personalized tutoring sessions to students studying Principles of Biology: Cell Structure and Function.

Lastly, in November 2016, Jess worked as a Clerk for the Franklin County Board of Elections, where they were responsible for recording voter information and assisting in problem resolution during election day.

Jess Kuhn, MPH received a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Policy from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania between 2016 and 2019. In addition to their academic qualifications, Jess has also obtained various certifications related to clinical trials, biomedical research, HIPAA privacy and information security, human subjects research, and responsible conduct of research.
