Environmental Analyst at NEIWPCC

Anna Palmer is an experienced environmental professional with a diverse background in water protection, education, and research. Currently serving as an Environmental Analyst at NEIWPCC since June 2022, Anna focuses on supporting Hudson River Valley communities in watershed planning while integrating environmental justice. Prior roles include Stream Buffer Educator at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, where Anna led the Trees for Tribs program, and co-directing the documentary "Inhabitants: An Indigenous Perspective" while at Kalliopeia Foundation. Additional experience includes research on climate change impacts for the Desert Research Institute, conducting studies at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, and environmental education initiatives with Keep Rockland Beautiful Inc. Anna holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Ohio University and a Bachelor’s degree from Purchase College, SUNY.
