Katherine Macé

Deputy Head of Institute of Health Science at Nestlé

Katherine Macé is currently the Deputy Head of Institute of Health Science at Nestlé. Prior to this, they held the position of Deputy Head of Nestlé Research from July 2018 to April 2021. Before that, they were the Head of the Metabolic Health Department at Nestlé Research Centre from January 2003 to June 2018. Katherine has also been a team leader for "Molecular Nutrition" at Nestlé Research Centre from January 1997 to December 2002. In this role, they were responsible for a team of 10 people and oversaw the discovery program for the development of functional foods and neutraceuticals for different health applications, such as CVD and obesity. From January 1994 to December 1996, Katherine was a project manager and scientist at Nestlé Research Centre. And finally, from January 1991 to December 1993, they were a postdoctoral scientist at Nestlé Research Centre.

Katherine Macé received their PhD in Immunovirology from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, their DEA in Genetic, Differentiation and Immunology from the same school, and their Maitrise in Physiology & Nutrition from Université de Bourgogne.
