Brittany Worley

Director, Partnerships and Development at New Teacher Center

Brittany Worley has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Brittany currently holds the position of Director of Partnerships and Development at New Teacher Center, starting in May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at TNTP where they held the roles of Senior Manager from December 2017 to May 2022, and Program Manager from August 2013 to December 2017. During their time at TNTP, they managed a caseload of principals and charter school leaders, organized district-level hiring events, and supported teacher recruitment and selection in Bureau of Indian Education tribally-controlled schools.

Before their tenure at TNTP, Worley served as a VISTA at North Panola High School through AmeriCorps from August 2012 to August 2013. In this role, they focused on grant research and writing, program implementation, and community outreach. Brittany also served as the Site Coordinator for Family Reading Bonds, a family literacy program, and worked with a local educational nonprofit.

Worley started their work experience as a Graduate Assistant at the Academic Support Center from August 2010 to May 2012, and prior to that, they worked as a Student Assistant/Tutor/Mentor at the Thornton Athletics Student Life Center from January 2007 to August 2010.

Brittany Worley received their Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2010. Brittany continued their education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education/Student Personnel from the University of Mississippi in 2012.
