Assistant Scientist at New York Stem Cell Foundation

Madhura Nijsure's work experience includes working as a Graduate Student at the University of Pennsylvania since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at the New York Stem Cell Foundation as an Assistant Scientist and Research Intern from 2017. Their responsibilities included differentiating patient-specific iPSC lines to microglia, studying microglial dysfunction, and optimizing cell painting protocols. Madhura also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Florida Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2017, where they worked on assessing mechanical properties and osteoconductivity of collagen fibers for bone tissue engineering applications. Additionally, Madhura gained hands-on experience in process design and industrial safety as an Intern at Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd. in 2013. Madhura also worked as a German Tutor at Appolo private tuitions in 2013.

Madhura Nijsure completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai from 2010 to 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2017. Madhura also obtained additional certifications during their educational journey, including "Zertifikat Deutsch" from the Goethe-Institut e.V. in December 2014, "Bloodborne Pathogen Awareness Training" from the Florida Institute of Technology in October 2015, and "RCRA Hazardous Waste Training" also from the Florida Institute of Technology in October 2015.
