Julianne Miller

Julianne Miller has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their most recent role as a Community Engagement Liaison at Newfields. In this position, they coordinate and attends local events, builds connections with community members, and helps increase memberships through the neighborhood membership program.

Prior to this, they served as a Campaign Manager for the Karla Lopez-Owens for Indiana State Senate 46 campaign. Their responsibilities included coordinating volunteers, organizing events and fundraisers, and managing social media coverage.

Julianne also worked at the Marion County Prosecutor's Office as a Bias Crimes Victim Advocate and Community Outreach Coordinator. During their time there, they provided support to victims of bias crimes and conducted outreach initiatives.

Julianne gained valuable experience as a Circle City Leader Fellow at RISE INDY, where they developed leadership and political organizing skills and focused on creating an equitable education landscape.

Julianne has also worked as a Legislative Intern for Senator Eddie Melton at the Indiana Senate Democrats, conducting research, drafting resolutions, and assisting constituents with various issues. Additionally, they served as an Indiana Attorney General Campaign Staff member for Karen Tallian, where they conducted cold calls, organized virtual fundraisers, and led fundraising email efforts.

Earlier in their career, Julianne was an Undergraduate Admissions Information Specialist at IUPUI. In this role, they assisted students through the admissions process and prepared admissions letters and transcripts for evaluation.

Throughout their work experience, Julianne has demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, as well as a passion for community engagement and social justice.

Julianne Miller attended Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from 2016 to 2020, where they pursued a Bachelor of Social Work degree. Their field of study was Social Work.
