Andrea Figueroa Benton

Andrea Figueroa Benton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Andrea recently joined NextDecade as the Head of Community Relations in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Branch Manager at Express Employment Professionals of Brownsville & Harlingen from March 2019 to August 2022. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the Executive Director of the Women's Business Center of Cameron County, where they designed business curriculum and managed finances. Andrea also held the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce from 2014 to 2016, where they implemented marketing strategies and developed the organization's online presence. Andrea has experience as a freelance translator and worked in various translation and copy editing roles from 2003 to 2016. Andrea was the Director of Sales at Visha Hospitality from 2011 to 2014, where they increased revenue and maintained customer relationships. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor of Principles of Marketing at the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2013. Andrea also served as a Marketing Consultant at Rancho Viejo Resort & Country Club in 2011 and as a Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Brownsville from 2009 to 2010. Andrea's earlier experience includes working in international sales at IMTEC, a 3M Company, where they coordinated workshops and analyzed international distribution accounts.

Their field of study was Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
