Tony Orecchio

Tony Orecchio has a comprehensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Tony started their career as a Programmer Analyst at Weirton Steel Corporation, where they gained expertise in software development. Tony then joined Highlights for Children, where they led the conversion effort for replacing their main computer system. Tony also worked as an Independent Consultant at Orecchio Ingenuity, Inc before joining Huntington National Bank as a Technical Architect.

At Sallie Mae, Tony held multiple roles, including Senior Technical Architect and Director of Architecture PSL Originations. Tony was responsible for leading a development organization, implementing Lean Agile practices, and improving flow and DevSecOps practices. Tony also introduced new workshops and piloted the use of Salesforce Lightning Web Components.

Tony's next position was at Salesforce.com, where they started as a Lead Software Engineer and eventually became a Senior Manager. Tony was responsible for managing integrations and played a key role in the Salesforce acquisition.

After that, Tony joined Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Technologist before returning to Sallie Mae as a Senior Technical Architect. Tony then transitioned to a role at NextGear Capital as the Director of Software Engineering.

Throughout their career, Tony has demonstrated strong technical and leadership skills, contributing to the growth and success of the organizations they worked for.

Tony Orecchio attended the West Virginia University Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
