Quality and Compliance Manager at NFRC

Michelle Scism (she/her) has held a variety of roles over the past 18 years. From 2001-2004, they worked as a Shelter Assistant at the Watauga Humane Society, a Veterinary Assistant at the Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic, and a Project Coordinator at Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. In 2011, they became an Independent Consultant and an Operations Manager at Divine Chocolate. Since 2013, they have been the Quality and Compliance Manager and Independent Verification Program Coordinator at the National Fenestration Rating Council. In this role, they are primarily responsible for the overall daily coordination of NFRC’s Independent Verification Program, including selecting, ordering, and scheduling products; reviewing and grading of verification tests; governing compliance issues; and processing of notification reports. Michelle also works with the IVP Manager, NFRC Program Director, and the EPA on the ongoing development of the IVP.

Michelle Scism attended Appalachian State University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Environmental Biology.
