Roberto Calvo

Roberto Calvo has a diverse work experience in the animation and technology industry. Roberto is currently working as the Director of Production and Technology Strategy at Nickelodeon Animation since May 2021. Previously, they held various positions at Blue Sky Studios, including Visual Effects Supervisor, Computer Graphics Supervisor, and Head of Production Engineering, from 2011 to 2021. Before that, they worked at Lucasfilm Animation as a Computer Graphics Supervisor and Manager of Production Engineering from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked at DreamWorks Animation as a Supervising Technical Director, Manager of Digital Training, and Technical Director from 2003 to 2008. Roberto started their career at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where they worked as an Assistant Technical Director, Production Software Engineer, Systems Software Engineer, and Technical Support Engineer from 1997 to 2003. Roberto began their professional journey as a Systems Engineer at FileNet from 1994 to 1996.

Roberto Calvo has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from UC Irvine Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences.
