Horia Petrascu

Horia Petrascu is a physicist with extensive experience in nuclear physics and detector development. Horia has served as a Senior Researcher at the Horia Hulubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering since 1987, with contributions including the study of reaction mechanisms and the development of experimental methods and detectors. Previous roles include research positions at institutions such as the University of Liverpool and The Cockcroft Institute, where Horia directed international training projects, and INFN, focusing on the MAGNEX project and developing a position start detector. Horia's postdoctoral research at RIKEN emphasized nuclear radiation detector development and fundamental nuclear research. Horia holds a PhD in Physics and a Bachelor's Degree in Optics, Spectroscopy, and Lasers.
