Simran Kumari

Simran Kumari is a Research Scientist at Nissan Motor Corporation since February 2022, following a tenure as a Materials Informatics Intern. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science under Prof. Philippe Sautet, where Simran focused on the multiscale modeling of Pt-clusters for electrocatalysis. Additional internships were completed at Schrödinger as a Material Science Intern, at EPFL with a Master's Thesis under Prof. Nicola Marzari, at JNCASR with a project on heterostructures under Prof. Umesh Waghmare, and at the National Chemical Laboratory studying protein aggregation. Simran's academic background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from UCLA, an MS in Chemistry from IISER Kolkata, and a BS in Chemistry from the same institution.
