Matt Krause has extensive experience in scientific research and development. Matt is currently employed as a Senior Scientist in Analytical Development at Nkarta, Inc. Matt'sprevious role was at Allogene Therapeutics, where they worked as a Senior Scientist focusing on gene editing and genomics applications in CAR T immunotherapy. Prior to that, Matt was a Scientist at Synthego Corporation, where they specialized in cell engineering using CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering techniques. Matt also mentored and trained research assistants in gene editing techniques. Matt's earlier experience includes being a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Chicago, investigating genetic mechanisms related to cardiovascular disease, and a Student Researcher at the University of California San Diego, studying post-transcriptional gene regulation. Matt also worked as a Research Assistant at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, studying transcription factors in Arabidopsis.
Matt Krause has a solid educational background with a variety of degrees in the field of sciences. Matt began their educational journey in 2007 at UC San Diego, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology in 2013. Matt then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biology at UC San Diego from 2013 to 2014. Matt furthered their education at the University of Chicago, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Translational Science from 2015 to 2017. Matt's academic pursuits culminated in their achievement of a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Molecular Pathogenesis and Molecular Medicine from the University of Chicago in 2019.
