Joanitha Rwegasira Mrengo

Joanitha Rwegasira Mrengo has a diverse range of roles and experiences in the field of human resources. Joanitha started their career as a Senior HR Officer at Barrick Gold Corporation from 2008 to 2010. Following this, they joined Mantra Tanzania Ltd (Uranium One) as a Senior HR Officer from 2010 to 2014.

In 2014, Joanitha became the Head of HR at Citi, where they were responsible for leading the human resources department and advising the members and CEO on HR matters. Joanitha held this role until 2015 when they transitioned to Zanzibar Telecom Ltd. (ZANTEL)-Millicom Group as the Head of HR. In this position, they managed all aspects of human resources and reported to the CEO of Zantel locally and the HR Manager for Africa under the Millicom group.

Since 2018, Joanitha has been working at NMB Bank Plc as the Head of HR at the Center of Expertise. Joanitha is currently in this role and contributes to the bank's human resources functions.

Joanitha Rwegasira Mrengo has a BA in Business Administration from Coventry University. Joanitha also holds a Higher National Diploma in Business and Personnel Management from Dudley College of Technology. Additionally, Joanitha has earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Wales.
