Thede Rüst

Thede Rüst has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Thede started as an intern at the United Nations in 2005. Thede then worked as a researcher at the Economic Policy Research Institute from December 2005 to August 2006. In 2007, Thede joined Acap Partners as an Investment Associate for a short period. Later that year, Thede joined NN Investment Partners as a Trainee in the International Talent Programme and later became a Senior Investment Manager, serving until October 2014.

In 2014, Thede joined Nordea Asset Management as the Lead PM Global Bond and then became the Head of Emerging Markets Debt in June 2016. Thede played a role in scaling up sustainable finance in low and middle-income countries as a Member of HLEG at the European Commission from September 2022.

Thede also contributed to the Principles for Responsible Investment as a Committee Member in the Fixed Income Advisory from January 2018 to December 2019. Throughout Thede's career, they have gained extensive experience in investment management and research in both public and private sectors.

Thede Rüst completed a Bachelor in Business Administration in International Business and Management Studies from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen in the years 2000-2004. During this time, Thede also attended the University of Macau for one year, specializing in Strategic Management. Thede then pursued a Master of Science in Business, Language, and Culture from Copenhagen Business School between 2004-2007. Moreover, Thede attended the Schulich School of Business at York University from 2005-2006 and completed the MBA Program with a concentration in Economics.
