Pauli Mortensen has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Pauli began their career at Unibank A/S as a Graduate Student from December 1989 to August 1992. Pauli then joined Nordea, where they worked as a Senior Dealer from September 1992 to June 1997, before being promoted to Chief Proprietary Trader from June 1997 to September 2001. Since 2001, Pauli Mortensen has been employed at Norges Bank Investment Management, where they have held various roles. Pauli started as a Senior Portfolio Manager from October 2001 to December 2007. Pauli then gained experience as a Senior Trader from January 2008 to September 2012. From September 2012 to September 2013, they served as the Head of Fixed Income Trading for Europe and Asia. Subsequently, they became the Head of Fixed Income Trading, Globally from October 2013 to January 2021. Following this, they held the position of Head of Rates Trading from January 2021 to May 2023. Presently, Pauli Mortensen holds the role of Global Co-Head of Fixed Income Trading at Norges Bank Investment Management, starting in May 2023.
Pauli Mortensen attended the University of Copenhagen from 1987 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Pauli then pursued further education at the Copenhagen Business School in 1991, focusing on financial planning. In 1992, Pauli Mortonson returned to the University of Copenhagen to complete their Master's degree in Economics. In 1994, they briefly attended the Copenhagen Business School to study Business Law.
