Rob Black

Assistant Director For Government Relations at North Carolina School Boards Association

Rob Black has over 20 years of experience in various communication, lobbying, public affairs, and government relations roles. Currently, they are the Assistant Director for Government Relations at the North Carolina School Boards Association. Previously, Rob worked as the President of Red Wolf Communications where they provided consulting services for corporate expansion and represented memberships before the NC General Assembly. Rob also served as the Senior Press Officer at the American Occupational Therapy Association and Senior Communications Specialist at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. In these roles, they handled spokesperson duties, managed public relations efforts, and produced content for newsletters and websites.

Rob Black attended Millbrook High School from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained a General Diploma. Rob then enrolled at North Carolina State University from 1987 to 1991 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Finally, they pursued further education at The George Washington University from 1994 to 1995, where they completed a Master of Arts degree in Political Management.
