Parivelan Thangavelu

Parivelan Thangavelu has a strong background in piping engineering and has held various positions throughout their career. Parivelan is currently working as a Senior Piping Engineer at North Oil Company Qatar. In their previous role as a Lead Piping Engineer - Offshore at PMC for ADNOC OFFSHORE - Control and Application Emirates, they were responsible for overseeing engineering drawings, documents, and 3D models. Parivelan also coordinated with vendors and ADNOC for approval of drawings and documents. Before that, they served as the Piping Head at Indzech Engineering Private Ltd, where they managed pipe spool fabrication and vendor drawings. As the Head of Department Piping (Deputy Chief Engineer) at ENOIA, they played a key role in project kick-off and review meetings, project scheduling, and proposal execution. Earlier in their career, Parivelan worked as a Lead Engineer - Piping & Structurals at Technip Indonesia and as a Lead Piping & Structural Engineer at Total E&P Indonesie, providing engineering advice and performing stress calculations for various facilities. Parivelan began their career as a Piping Engineer at Saudi Aramco, where they conducted tie-in reviews, stress analysis, and field surveys for gas plant expansion and system modifications. Overall, Parivelan Thangavelu has gained extensive experience in piping engineering and has a proven track record of successfully managing projects and delivering high-quality results.

Parivelan Thangavelu completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Regional Engineering College Trichy in 2001. Prior to this, from 1989 to 1992, they obtained a DME (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) from Government Polytechnic-Trichy. Following their diploma, they pursued further education at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where they earned their B.E (Bachelor of Engineering) in Mechanical in 2001.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Parivelan Thangavelu also obtained the TBOSIET & H2S certification from the Gulf Technical and Safety Training Centre in Abu Dhabi, UAE in December 2019.
