Darren van der Elst

Darren van der Elst has a strong background in software engineering and data integration. Darren began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Northwest Analytics in 2016, where they developed and maintained database connectivity for the Quality Analyst product. At Portland General Electric, they worked as a Data Engineer in 2017, focusing on the Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) of data from an Oracle-based Marketing System to a SQL Server Marketing Database. Darren also worked as a Business Intelligence Developer at Client Resources from 2008 to 2010, where they assisted with database setup, SSIS package development, cube definition, and report building for YMCA-USA. Additionally, they worked as an SSRS Reports Developer at Central Lincoln PUD in 2010, converting Crystal Reports to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Reports. Darren also has experience as an SSIS and .NET Developer at M & I Bank in 2010, creating custom SSIS components for address data parsing.

Darren van der Elst completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at Weber State University from 1998 to 1999. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's Certificate in Business Intelligence from Set Focus, LLC between 2007 and 2008. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1991, they earned another Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Financial Management (Business Administration) from Oregon State University.
