Kathryn Engel

Kathryn Engel, CRCM, CERP, has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Kathryn currently works at Northwest Bank as a Regulatory Compliance Audit Team Lead since December 2023. Prior to that, they held roles at USAA, starting as a Compliance Risk Manager Senior from August 2020 to October 2022, and then as a Compliance Risk Manager Lead from October 2022 to December 2023. Before joining USAA, Kathryn worked at KeyBank as a Compliance Officer from April 2017 to August 2020. Kathryn also has experience at M&T Bank, where they worked as a Compliance Specialist from May 2014 to April 2017, as a Commercial Risk and Compliance Analyst from July 2012 to May 2014, and as a Relationship Liaison from February 2009 to July 2012. Kathryn's earliest roles in the banking industry were at M&T Bank as a Telephone Service Representative from September 2003 to May 2005, and as a Bank Teller from June 2002 to September 2003.

Kathryn Engel, CRCM, CERP holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Buffalo State University. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification in 2022 and various certificates in risk management from the American Bankers Association, which they will obtain in 2023.
