David Oyeka

David Oyeka has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. David started their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Apex Capital Corp in 2017, where they designed the UI and front-end for an accounting web application using HTML, CSS, Typescript, and Angular frameworks. David also developed the back-end of the same application using JavaEE and Oracle frameworks.

In 2018, David returned to Apex Capital Corp as a Software Engineering Intern and utilized the JIRA system to debug and upgrade company software. David also helped create a company invoice file/image storage system using Java, C++, Spring Boot, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

From 2017 to 2018, David worked at Brown University as a Supervisor of Intramural Sports. In this role, they managed the scheduling and training of referees and was responsible for the set-up, management, and tear-down of court/field space during games.

David joined Goldman Sachs in 2019 as a Technology Summer Analyst - Core Engineering. Here, they contributed to increasing the maintainability of the firm-wide deployment monitoring application by implementing a new backend using Java8, RxJava, Spring Boot, Maven, and Nimbus IaaS. David also consolidated configuration files for the same application by utilizing YAML and Apache FreeMarker.

At Brown University, from 2019 to 2020, David served as a Teaching Assistant for various computer science courses. David assisted students in understanding course concepts, helped them debug their code, and maintained the auto-grading script for assignments.

In 2020, David co-founded Winkshare, where they took on the role of Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer. Winkshare is a secure platform for intimate relationships, currently in stealth mode.

David then joined Goldman Sachs as a Technology Analyst, working on technology projects from 2020 to 2022. David later transitioned to the role of Technology Associate, contributing to technology initiatives until 2023.

Currently, David works as a Founding Engineer at Novig, a position they started in 2023.

David Oyeka attended Brown University from 2016 to 2020, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
