Monica Simha has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Monica started their career as an Intern at Bosch in 2012 and later interned at SELCO Foundation in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Summer Intern at Mindtree.

In 2015, Monica joined Tata Chemicals as an Intern, where they conducted market research and analyzed data to identify and develop potential eco-tourism opportunities. Monica also worked as a Business Analyst at Goodera, contributing to CSR strategy and roadmaps.

From 2016 to 2019, Monica continued their work at Goodera, initially as a Senior Business Analyst, where they developed and implemented sustainable procurement policies and conducted supply chain due diligence for a consumer retail organization and its suppliers. Monica later became the Lead of Consulting, leading conversations with clients on CSR strategy and managing a team driving sustainability reporting and stakeholder engagement.

In 2019, Monica joined the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore as a Research Associate, where they conducted a research study on business and human rights reporting by corporate India for the National Human Rights Commission. Monica applied John Ruggie's framework of "Protect, Respect, Remedy" to understand the disclosure of Indian companies on human rights.

Since 2020, Monica has been working at Novisto, starting as an ESG Analyst and progressing to Senior ESG Analyst, Lead ESG Analyst, and currently holds the position of Manager, ESG Analysts.

Monica Simha completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Sustainability from TERI School of Advanced Studies from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Zoology from St Josephs College Arts Science between 2010 and 2013. In 2008, they attended Christ University, Bangalore, but the degree or field of study for that time period is not specified. Additionally, Monica has obtained various certifications, including the Climate Reality Leadership Corps from The Climate Reality Project in September 2020, ESG and Sustainable Investing from Udemy in June 2020, Critical Thinking from LinkedIn Learning Courses Review 2020 in April 2020, Gender Based Analysis (GBA+) from the Government of Canada in April 2020, Programming Foundations: Databases from LinkedIn in April 2020, Business metrics for data-driven companies from Duke University in August 2019, and Foreign Language A1 French from inlingua in June 2019.
