Dongjie Chen

Dongjie (D.J.) Chen is a Senior R&D Scientist at NPIC, responsible for formula creation and validation for manufacturing processes, as well as leading projects from concept to commercialization. Prior roles include Senior Researcher at Cargill, where methodologies for oil hydrogenation were developed, and Consultant at Bridger. As the Senior R&D Scientist and Department Head at InnovHope, Dongjie led multiple projects in food product development and served as a principal consultant for a plant-based meat startup. Previous experience includes research positions at the University of Minnesota, Rahr Corporation, the FDA, and Nestlé S.A., alongside a robust academic background culminating in a PhD in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Minnesota.
