Thais Rodrigues

Thais Rodrigues has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and companies. Thais is currently working as the Global Director of Discovery and Pre-development, Biology Portfolio Solutions at Nufarm since December 2023. Prior to that, they worked at GreenLight Biosciences from 2018 to 2023, holding multiple positions including Global Regulatory Affairs, Scientific Lead, Head of Discovery Biology, and Research Scientist/Project Lead. Thais has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Kentucky and Centro de Energia Nuclear na Agricultura - CENA/USP. Additionally, they served as a Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) SAP Ad Hoc Member at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Thais started their career as a Trainee at Embrapa Milho e Sorgo, Federal University of Lavras, and Agronomic Institute of Campinas.

Thais Rodrigues holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal de Lavras, which was obtained in 2009. Thais then pursued a Master's degree in Plant Biotechnology from the same university, completing it in 2011. Thais continued their education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Biotechnology from the Universidade Federal de Lavras in 2014. In 2015, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Project Management from USP - Universidade de São Paulo. Thais also completed a Certificate in Leadership Excellence in Leading Teams from the Professional & Executive Development program at the Harvard Division of Continuing Education in 2023. Additionally, Thais obtained certifications in various areas, including Executive Leadership Coaching, Creative Thinking, Influence and Persuasion in Leadership, and Leadership Coaching Strategies from the Harvard Division of Continuing Education. Thais also holds a certification in Introduction to RNAi and microRNA techniques from the Centro Brasileiro-Argentino de Biotecnologia (CBAB) obtained in 2012.
