Rich S. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to 2022. Rich started their career as a Logistics Coordinator at Magpie Systems in 2006. From 2007 to 2013, they worked as a Systems Test Engineer at L3 communications, where they troubleshooted and repaired electrical/mechanical systems and conducted test development for Quality Assurance.
In 2014, they worked as a Performance Engineer at Boeing and as a Mechanical Engineer at Vaporsens. Rich joined the University of Utah Nuclear Research Facility in 2013 as a Systems Engineer.
From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Sandia National Laboratories, first as a Laboratory Support Engineer and later as an R&D SE Nuclear Engineer SMTS.
In 2017, they joined SHINE Medical Technologies, LLC, and served as an Operations Manager until 2019, after which they became a Senior Research and Development Engineer until 2021.
Rich then joined Argonne National Laboratory as an IVEM Facility Engineer from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are working as a Targetry Nuclear Engineer at Nusano since June 2022.
In early 2022, they also worked as a Lead R&D Engineer at NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes, LLC until November 2022.
Rich S. attended Salt Lake Community College from 2007 to 2011, where they received an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Rich then went on to the University of Utah and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2011 to 2013. After that, Rich pursued further education at the University of Utah and obtained a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from 2013 to 2015. Lastly, they completed their education at the University of Utah by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nuclear Engineering from 2015 to 2017.
