Giuseppe Narzisi

Associate Director, Computational Biology at The New York Genome Center

Giuseppe Narzisi's work experience begins in 2005 as a Junior Research Scientist at New York University, where they worked on the Large-Scale Emergency Readiness project. Giuseppe then moved on to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in 2011 as a Computational Science Analyst. In the same year, they also worked as an Assistant Research Scientist at New York University, where they designed and implemented algorithms and software solutions for DNA sequencing data analysis. In 2014, they joined the New York Genome Center as a Bioinformatics Scientist and progressed to higher positions, eventually becoming the Associate Director of Computational Biology. In 2015, they became an Advisory Board Member for the Bioinformatics Master program at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. In 2017, they briefly served as an Adjunct Faculty at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Overall, Giuseppe has developed expertise in computational biology and bioinformatics throughout their career.

Giuseppe Narzisi completed their education in the field of Computer Science. In 2005, they started their PhD at Università di Catania, which they completed in 2008. Giuseppe then pursued further studies at New York University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science in 2007. Finally, they went on to successfully complete their doctoral studies and earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from New York University in 2011.
