Monika Sekelja

Monika Sekelja is an accomplished professional in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics, currently serving as Associate Director at Recursion since September 2024. Previously, Monika held various leadership positions at Nykode Therapeutics from June 2017 to September 2024, including Director of the In Silico and AI Department and Director of Bioinformatics, where Monika spearheaded the development of computational platforms to advance Vaccibody vaccine technology. Monika's extensive experience also includes senior roles at Universitetet i Oslo, Genetic Analysis AS, Nofima, and CIGENE, focusing on bioinformatics and microbiome analysis. Monika holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Oslo and multiple leadership certifications, demonstrating a robust academic and professional foundation in the field.
