Deepak Katyal has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. deepak currently holds the position of Vice President at O2 Power since August 2020. Previously, they worked at ReNew Power as a General Manager from April 2016 to August 2020.

Prior to that, Deepak worked at Larsen & Toubro as a Cluster Project Manager from November 2012 to March 2016. In this role, they gained extensive experience in project management, planning, scheduling, estimation, construction, and approvals for solar PV and biomass projects across India.

Before joining Larsen & Toubro, Deepak had brief stints at Azure Power as a project manager from May 2012 to November 2012 and at A2Z Powercom Ltd as a project manager from December 2010 to May 2012.

Deepak started their career at Amritenviromental as a Project Manager from June 2006 to February 2007, before joining Oswal Woolen Mills as a Senior Electrical Engineer from February 2002 to May 2006. In this role, they were involved in the installation, commissioning, and operation maintenance of power plants for spinning mills.

Deepak Katyal attended Punjab Technical University from 1997 to 2001, where they pursued a B-tech degree in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, they studied at govt. ranbir college during the same period, completing their B-tech in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Technical University. deepak also obtained a B-tech degree in Electrical Engineering from Punjab School Education Board Punjab, in affiliation with Punjab Technical University, from 1997 to 2001.
