“ We are extremely fortunate to have excellent leadership at all levels of our school system, from the faculty and staff to the principals to the Superintendent. All Oconee citizens benefit from the solid foundation that has been built and the commitment by so many to sustain an excellent public education system. I believe that an excellent public education system is the basic building block for both the prosperous economy and the quality of life that we all enjoy in Oconee County.”

Mr. Burgess believes that it is the responsibility of the Board, in coordination with the Superintendent, to do everything necessary to ensure that the faculty and staff in each of our schools receives the support necessary to maintain the highest quality public education system possible for Oconee County. For in the end.........it is all about student success.
