Jirapa Kamsamrong

Jirapa Kamsamrong is an experienced professional in smart grid technology and energy systems. Currently serving as Group Manager for "Smart Grid Testing" at OFFIS - Institute for Information Technology since February 2021, Jirapa leads initiatives in real-time communication for TSO and DSO coordination, smart grid technology assessments, and operational cybersecurity improvements. Prior roles include Electrical Engineer in R&D at Energynautics GmbH, where Jirapa contributed to the research and analysis of renewable energy integration and energy policy, as well as positions at Trier University of Applied Sciences and the Stockholm Environment Institute. Jirapa's substantial research background encompasses various energy security and policy projects funded by notable organizations in Thailand. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. from Technische Universität Braunschweig and a Master's degree in Energy Technology from JGSEE.
