Colin Laing

Colin Laing has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Colin began their career at Ineos in 2007, where they worked as a Development & Operations Engineer until 2012. Colin then joined Xodus Group as a Senior Process Engineer for a year before moving to TOTAL as a Process Technical Authority. In 2014, Colin worked at Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Limited as an Offshore Process Engineer and later at BP as an Asset Strategy Specialist. In 2016, they joined Nexen as a MER Consultant. Colin returned to Xodus Group in 2015 as a Consultant Process Engineer and worked there until 2018. Currently, they are working at Ofgem, where they hold the position of Senior Gas Engineer and will also start as a Senior Specialist Engineer from August 2022.

Colin Laing attended the University of Strathclyde from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained an MEng degree in Chemical Engineering. In December 2012, they obtained a certification as a Chartered Engineer from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).
