About the Role:
The Senior Project Manager, Research and Development will lead and coordinate activities across Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Education, IT, and Finance to ensure excellence in on time and execution for NPD and Non-NPD projects (Focus on Blue Sky & New Technology Projects) globally. As an integral member of the team, the Project Manager must be: diligent and assertive to drive the process; flexible and adaptive to proactively manage deviations, and engaged to identify and manage project risks.
Responsibilities
- Clearly document and monitor all timeline milestones across teams, set due dates/make revisions as needed, and follow up to ensure tasks are met or contingencies developed.
- Lead and facilitate regular cross-functional team meetings, coordinating activities across Product Development, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Education, IT, and Finance team members to create and execute necessary timelines and activities
- Proactively identify risks, counter-act and press for decisions, in order to execute on-time and within quality expectations
- Prioritize tasks, adjust workflow and partner cross-functionally with the team as needed to move projects forward
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, creating and refining best practices and processes for successful project execution
- Serve as point of contact in between formal project meetings to drive communication and action where needed to support project execution
- Communicate project status updates, actions and risks to the executive team
Scope of the Role
- Responsible for managing New Science/Technology projects. Must be comfortable with roadmap planning 3+ years out
- Responsible for managing Briefs for NPD launches
- Responsible for managing Stage Gate Process for the Innovation Team
- Responsible for working directly with the PD team on Formula and Packaging Development
- Responsible for getting estimated and final forecasts for NPD products
- Will work with the creative team on reviews and approvals, managing all meeting invitations and tracking changes
- Manage timelines for Innovation Team and GTM launch calendar
- Collaborate with the Marketing Directors on the cross functional tasks between NPD and GTM milestones
- Lead a cross functional status meeting to review progress against timelines for NPD launches
- Assess future development research projects and timeline scoping
About You:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in either R&D or Supply Chain. Chemistry background preferred, but not required
- 5+ years of experience in process/project management across global teams, and/or concentration of R&D or Supply Chain
- Skilled problem-solver who drives out-of-the-box thinking when appropriate
- Adept at operating autonomously amidst ambiguity
- Ability to lead and influence without being the direct manager of all team members
- Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail

Our Total Rewards:
The annual base pay for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
