Lyndsea Arikian

Lyndsea Arikian has extensive work experience in the education field. Lyndsea is currently working as the Director of Teacher Support at OneGoal since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction at Boston Public Schools from 2019 to 2021 and as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Breakthrough Greater Boston from 2016 to 2019.

In 2015, Lyndsea was awarded the Fulbright-Nehru English Teaching Assistantship and planned and implemented English Language Arts lessons to 400 English Language Learners in grades 6-10 in India. Lyndsea also developed College Access workshops for students ages 18-21.

Before that, Lyndsea worked as a Social Studies Teacher at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools from 2011 to 2015. Lyndsea was recognized for their exceptional performance and was awarded Teacher of the Year in the 2014-2015 school year. Additionally, they were a Corps Member at Teach For America from 2011 to 2013.

Lyndsea Arikian has a diverse education history spanning several institutions and areas of study. In 2007, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies at American University. During their undergraduate years, they also pursued minors in Education Studies and International Studies. Following their passion for education, Lyndsea furthered their academic pursuits at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) with a focus on Secondary Education and Teaching. Recently, in 2021 and 2022, they attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education to pursue Professional Education, although the specific field of study is not specified. By integrating these educational experiences, Lyndsea has acquired a strong foundation in American Studies, Education Studies, International Studies, Secondary Education, and Teaching.
