Dan Duncan

Product Lead at Universe

Dan Duncan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

Starting in 2012, they worked as an Editorial Intern at St. Louis Magazine. Dan then interned at the City of Maryland Heights, MO as a Public Relations Intern in 2013. In the same year, they also began working as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Missouri.

In 2014, Dan interned at Toyota Motor Sales, USA before joining Alight Analytics in 2015. At Alight Analytics, they held multiple roles including Client Solutions Specialist, Marketing Insight Analyst, Senior Insight Analyst, Manager of Reporting Solutions, and Analytics Product Manager.

In 2019, Dan joined BacklotCars as a Product Manager, where they contributed to the development of an online marketplace for auto dealers. Their responsibilities included making wholesale transactions easy and transparent for buyers and sellers.

Currently, Dan is working at Universe as a Product Lead, a position they started in 2021.

Dan Duncan began their education at Pattonville High School, where they completed their high school education from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they attended Webster University from 2009 to 2013, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Media Communications with an emphasis on Photojournalism. Dan then pursued further education at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2013 to 2015, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Marketing.

In addition to their formal education, Dan also holds additional certifications. In July 2018, they obtained the Tableau Desktop Certified Associate certification from Tableau Software. Dan also achieved the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ) certification in April 2015, although the institution is not specified.
