Vincenzo Capogna

Vincenzo Capogna has over 12 years of experience in the solar energy industry. Vincenzo began their career in 2009 as a Solar PV Research Engineer at the CHOSE Laboratory on Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSC). In 2012, they held the role of Solar PV Expert at GreenGo Energy ApS, and Project Manager and Business Developer at WS Energia. During this time, they developed the business strategy for the company expansion to SSA countries, designed and implemented pilot projects, and supervised the development of Pay-per-Use solutions for SHS in Angola. In 2013, they became the Innovation Manager at SunnyMoney for SolarAid. Finally, in 2015, they were appointed as CTO of Oolu, and in 2021 they were appointed as Director of westa.solar.

Vincenzo Capogna's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Energy Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma from 2006 to 2009. Vincenzo then completed a two-year Master of Science in Energy Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2011. Following this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Inter-University Master in Energy Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2011 to 2012. Vincenzo also attended Esade in 2011 for a course in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. Most recently, they completed an Industrial/PhD course on Photovoltaic Power Systems in Theory and Practice at Aalborg University in May 2012.
