Courtney Patterson, CIC, MBA has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Courtney currently works at Openly as an Agency Success Manager, Sr. Prior to that, they worked at National General as a Virtual Sales Consultant, where they managed a multi-state territory of independent agents and alternative distribution agents. At National General, Courtney marketed personal insurance products and services, coached independent agents on marketing strategies, and maximized agency revenue.

Before their time at National General, Courtney worked at Travelers as an Outside Property Claims Representative. Courtney managed the insurance claims process for 1st party property claimants and investigated and evaluated all relevant facts to determine coverages, damages, and liability.

Courtney also has experience at Podiatry Insurance Company of America (PICA) as an Account Manager, where they managed a size-able territory of clients and traveled to regional conferences to interact with clientele. Courtney also worked at Farmers Insurance as an Insurance Specialist, handling various aspects of the business including sales, bookkeeping, marketing, and office management.

Earlier in their career, Courtney worked at The Hartford as a Personal Lines Marketing Rep, where they managed a territory of insurance agents, marketed insurance products and services, and managed a profitable book of business. Courtney also worked at TIAA-CREF as a Client Relationship Manager.

Courtney Patterson, CIC, MBA has a diverse education background that includes a Bachelor's Degree in Finance with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, obtained between 2000 and 2004. Courtney then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Mercer University from 2006 to 2007.

In 2012, Courtney started a Master's Degree program in Management at Troy University, which they completed in 2015. Courtney recently completed a program called "Leading With Analytics" at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 2020.

In addition to their academic achievements, Courtney has obtained various certifications to further enhance their professional skills. Courtney is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and received this certification from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research in February 2023. Courtney has also completed several programs with McKinsey & Company, including the A2E Business Fundamentals, Management Accelerator Program, Business Strategy, and Problem Solving. Furthermore, they completed the Remote Work Foundations course offered by LinkedIn.
