Sherwood Callaway has worked in the software engineering field since 2015. In 2015 and 2016, they were a Software Development Intern and Software Developer at CapTech Ventures, Inc. In 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer, Infrastructure at Crunchbase, where they built a CI/CD pipeline and migrated production workloads from ECS to Kubernetes. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Brex, where they served as a Software Engineer, Product (Bill Pay), Software Engineer, Observability, and Software Engineer, Infrastructure. In 2021, they became the Co-founder and CEO of Opkit (YC S21), a modern, developer-friendly health insurance verification platform for telehealth/virtual care companies and healthcare software vendors.
