The purpose of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is to help drive awareness of Optimal Workshop within our target accounts and to help build a pipeline for our Account Executives. This is an integral part of our growing, passionate sales team.  

In this exciting role you’ll be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, having initial conversations with new and low touch prospects, and booking meetings for the account executives to help build their pipeline and meet our sales targets.

This may look like….

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both sales and marketing, working collaboratively with them to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans and marketing campaigns.

  • Identifying potential customer’s research related challenges aIdentify potential clients and build relationships with prospects. You will demonstrate impeccable communication skills, with a focus on lead generation and strategic outreach and will be comfortable communicating on the phone and via email.

  • Utilisation of prospecting and research tools, and coordinating and collaborating with sales executives to qualify opportunities, prepare for and book meetings with target prospects using email, Linked in and Zoom.

  • Conducting sales development best practices with email, phone, and social approaches using enablement technology to connect with new prospects.

  • Managing, tracking, and reporting on all activities and results using Salesforce

  • Strategising with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process.

  • Past Sales/Customer Engagement experience or SDR experience would be preferred, but not mandatory.

  • Knowledge of some prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator would be preferred, but not mandatory

  • Demonstrate an interest and understanding with emerging technologies and software, as our work revolves around the use of technology.
