Michael Nowland

Michael Nowland has extensive work experience in the energy and analytics field, with a focus on future energy solutions and data-driven insights. Michael currently holds the position of Head of Future Energy Analytics at Origin Energy, where they utilize AI, Data, and Tech to drive the energy transition and identify emerging energy opportunities. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Manager and Product Owner for Energy forecasting at Deloitte, leading complex Analytics projects and delivering performance improvement and risk management solutions through data analysis. In addition, Michael has experience in customer insights analysis at Super Retail Group and has worked in various roles at Deloitte, including Senior Analyst and Manager in Data Analytics and Risk Advisory. Michael has also held positions at National Australia Bank, Queensland Treasury and Trade, and Target. Michael possesses a strong background in data analytics, energy forecasting, and risk management within the energy sector.

Michael Nowland attended Brisbane Boys' College from an unspecified start date until 2007. After that, they enrolled in The University of Queensland, where they completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) and a Bachelor of Economics (B.Econ.) with a specialization in International Trade & Finance. Michael studied at the university from 2008 until they graduated in 2012.
