Kate White

Kate White has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries and roles. Kate is currently the Director of Client Initiatives at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to that, they were the Client Relationship Program Director at the same company from March 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining Orrick, Kate co-founded Design Build Legal in 2016, where they served as a Legal Innovation Consultant. Kate'sresponsibilities included working with law firms and legal departments to design innovative legal and business solutions, improve client service, and increase technology adoption. Kate also implemented Design Thinking principles to encourage innovation and problem-solving. Kate worked at Design Build Legal until March 2021.

From 2014 to 2016, Kate was a Client Engagement & Innovation Strategist at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP's innovation team, DWT De Novo. Kate played a key role in developing the firm's innovation strategy, building a team, and designing new solutions for clients. This effort led to the firm being recognized as the Innovative Law Firm of the Year by ILTA in 2015 and 2016.

Prior to their role at DWT, Kate worked as a Business Development Manager at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP from 2009 to 2014. In this role, they collaborated with firm leadership on business initiatives, including the empoWer Women's Initiative and the De Novo Innovation Initiative. Kate also focused on innovating legal services and finding better ways to serve clients.

Kate has also gained experience in the public sector. Kate worked as a Policy Advisor at the City of Seattle in 2014, focusing on policy strategy and communications. In 2008, they worked as a Policy Analyst/Legal Intern for the State of Washington, where they drafted legislation and produced non-partisan policy reports.

Kate'searliest work experience was as a Benefits Advisor/Law Clerk at the US Department of Labor in 2007.

Throughout their career, Kate has demonstrated a passion for innovation, client service, and strategic planning.

Kate White attended Seattle University from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. Following this, they enrolled at Seattle University School of Law from 2006 to 2009, earning their Juris Doctor (JD) in Law.
