Sullivan Valaer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. They started their career in 2011 as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual. They then worked as a Help Desk Technician at Pavelcomm, providing technical support for multiple clients.

In 2013, Sullivan joined TFG Card Solutions as an IT Specialist, specializing in streamlining the payroll process using payroll debit cards. They later joined Custom Design Software, Inc. as a Front End Web Developer, where they led data aggregation efforts and automated web scraping for collecting real estate information.

From 2015 to 2017, Sullivan worked at Digital Domain 3.0 as a Web Developer and Software Development Engineer in Test. They were responsible for leading the CI/CD workflow for the imCapture VR platform and developed an automated test library in Python for testing the platform.

After that, Sullivan joined OpenGov Inc. in 2017 and held various roles, including Software Development Engineer in Test, Lead Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, Engineering Manager, and Lead Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test. They led cross-functional teams, established a QA department, initiated mentorship programs, and implemented automated testing frameworks.

Currently, Sullivan is working at OvationCXM as a Lead Software Development Engineer. In 2023, they are expected to take on the role of Software Engineering Manager.

Sullivan Valaer completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Washington, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended Clark College from 2007 to 2010, although no degree or field of study information is available for their time there.
