Achilleas Athanasiou Fragkoulis

Achilleas Athanasiou Fragkoulis has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Achilleas started their career as a Visiting Scientist at Diamond Light Source, where they collaborated on a project involving the adsorption of normal-alkanes on hexagonal-boron nitride. Achilleas then worked as a Summer Intern at DESY.

In 2014, Achilleas joined Ormos Foods and held multiple roles, including Head of Marketing and Operations and later Commercial Director. Following this, they co-founded Greek Cava, a platform for premium Greek wines, spirits, and craft beer.

Achilleas then worked as an Instructor at Product School, delivering classes and workshops to bridge the communication gap between Product Managers and Analysts/Data Scientists. Achilleas also completed a Master's thesis at Satalia.

From 2018 to 2020, Achilleas worked as a Data Scientist at Expedia Group, where they delivered behavioral insights and collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams to improve products. Achilleas also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Rimo3 from 2020 to 2021.

Most recently, Achilleas worked as a Data Scientist II at Beat, a ride-hailing company operating as a 2-sided marketplace. In this role, they supported experiments across the supply and demand side of the platform. Achilleas is currently employed as a Data Scientist at Pace Revenue, starting in 2023.

Achilleas Athanasiou Fragkoulis has a diverse education history. In 2010-2013, Fragkoulis obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Queen Mary University of London. Simultaneously, from 2011 to 2017, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The Open University. Fragkoulis then pursued a Master's Degree in MSc Business Analytics (with specialization in Management Science) at UCL from 2017 to 2018. Prior to this, they attended Imperial College London in 2013-2014, studying Physics. In 2008-2010, Fragkoulis obtained an International Baccalaureate from The Moraitis School of Athens. In terms of additional certifications, they acquired a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in November 2020 and became a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance in October 2019. Additionally, Fragkoulis obtained an IKO Instructor Level 1 certification from the International Kiteboarding Organization in June 2017.
