Matthew Sach

Matthew Sach has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data science. Matthew is currently working as a Data Scientist, Experimentation at Pace Revenue since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Lead Data Scientist at AI Superior from December 2022 to January 2023.

From March 2021 to November 2022, Matthew worked as a Lead Data Scientist at esure Group, where they led a team of 3 data scientists and collaborated with various departments to develop and integrate data science models and insights. Their work was recognized as a finalist in the data magic category of the internal ACE Awards. Matthew led the development and implementation of a text classifier model for liability decision classification.

Before that, Matthew worked at SparkBeyond from May 2020 to February 2021. During their tenure, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist and also served as the Training & Development Taskforce Lead, EMEA. Matthew supported, mentored, and trained client analysts and data scientists to build in-house capability. Matthew also applied data science methodologies and tools to drive impact on projects and suggested interventions to business stakeholders.

Matthew's career started at IBM in 2015, where they held various roles as a Data Scientist and Strategic Analytics Consultant. Matthew worked on multiple projects for clients in different industries, including major satellite telecommunications providers, global automotive manufacturers, and global consumer products goods companies. Matthew utilized various technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, Python, Apache Spark, SPSS Modeller, Bluemix, and Watson NLP technologies, to develop analytical pipelines, perform data analysis, and develop predictive models.

Prior to their professional career, Matthew worked as a Team Lead and Instructor at ThinkMath, Inc., where they taught mathematics to children ages 6-12 and organized small teams of instructors. Matthew also gained experience as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Stanford University in the Department of Chemistry.

Matthew Sach attended Stanford University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry. In 2016, they obtained certifications in "Intro to Python for Data Science" and "Introduction to R" from DataCamp. Matthew also obtained certifications in "Big Data Foundations, Level 1", "Big Data Foundations, Level 2", "Hadoop Foundations, Level 1", and "Spark, Level 1" from IBM in the same year.
